Billing and Invoicing

Find out where to check your service package billing period and next renewal date. The details are found on your invoices below the line items.

When Will the Invoice Arrive?

After ordering, your first invoice will arrive during the next month. Invoices are generated in advance before the service expiration date, providing customers sufficient notice to plan and react before the next billing period. Depending on the billing cycle, invoices may arrive either weeks or months prior to the renewal date.

Billing Period

The service package acquired from Seravo is invoiced either monthly or annually. An annually billed contract is slightly more affordable than monthly billing (with a ~10% discount), but an annual contract requires a commitment for one year, and already paid annual fees are not refunded for contracts terminated during the contract period.

Where can I see my billing period?

You can find the current billing period and the next renewal date of your service package on the invoices sent to you. The billing period is always indicated below the product line items.

Why Did I Receive an Invoice Two Months Before the Next Billing Period Starts?

Invoices for all annually billed contracts are sent 4–8 weeks before the start of the next billing period. This ensures you have enough time to pay the invoice, make any necessary changes to the contract, or terminate it at the end of the current billing period. Early invoices are meant to provide convenience and planning flexibility but do not affect the actual expiration dates of services, which remain unchanged.

All of our service packages have a 1-month notice period for termination, meaning any possible termination must be made in writing 1 month before the next billing period begins. If you pay the annual invoice but then terminate the contract within the notice period, the paid amount will be refunded or credited against other future invoices. When a contract is terminated, Seravo will, for example, not renew the domain's annual registration fees.

Paying your invoice on time is critical to keeping your services uninterrupted. You have the flexibility to pay anytime before the service expiration date, even if the due date on the invoice is earlier, as services remain active until that expiration if paid by then.

You can switch from annual billing to a monthly billed contract if you wish. To change or update your contract and billing information, please contact our customer support.

Domain names and their renewal

The registration and renewal periods for domain names (such as .fi, .com, .net) may differ from the billing period of the website's service plan itself. This can happen for several reasons – for instance, if the domain was transferred to Seravo from another provider in the middle of its registration period, or because different domain extensions (.fi vs. international extensions) have different mechanical renewal cycle rules.

Automatic renewal

You do not need to worry about your domain name expiring. Domains managed by Seravo are automatically renewed as long as the website's hosting plan is active. If the plan is terminated, the automatic renewal will be disabled, and the domain must be transferred to another provider; otherwise, the domain will expire and stop working.
