What is Being Backed up?

Backups include all files under the /data directory and the database from the last 30 days. All other files are purged regularly for security reasons and Seravo will only guarantee to store and backup files under /data.

In case you you want to exclude some files or folders from the backup you can add the file or folder path to the /data/backups/exclude.filelistfile. The file uses the rdiff-backup syntax aka one path per row.

NOTE: We take automatic backups on production sites, but there are no automatic backups of staging environments. If you have a staging environment, please make sure that you save the site's history in version control (GIT) or take a manual backup (wp-backup) before making any bigger changes.
