Basic Email from Seravo
You can request for emailboxes as a part of your Seravo service. An emailbox is a unique email account which has it's own username and password. Pricing for e-mailboxes and extra storage is available from our catalogue.
Emailboxes use the IMAP -protocol. Email is sent via an SMTP-server. Login to both of the servers is done through a secure connection and are usable with any commonly used email application which supports secured connections. You can also read your email using your web-browser using the webmail-service.
Webmail
You can access your email from webmail.gandi.net The email webclient is Roundcube.
While writing a new email you can change the sender information from the dropdown-menu in the Sender-field. You can create and modify identities from the option next to it.
With the view which opens, you can set for example the name, address and the signature used with the chosen sender.
IMAP Settings in Email Applications
You can read your email with separate email applications using the following IMAP settings. With Windows-, Mac- and Linux-workstations we suggest using the open source Mozilla Thunderbird e-mail application. For security reasons, we advise you not to use Outlook. Email can be accessed with any smartphone app which supports the IMAP-protocol.
Server settings in the email application:
IMAP-server (incoming email) Incoming server name: mail.gandi.net Port: 993 (IMAP SSL). TLS or SSL: Yes Username: [email protected] Password: xxxxx
SMTP-server (outgoing email) Outgoing (SMTP) server name : mail.gandi.net Port : 465 (SSL) TLS or SSL : yes SMTP Authentication : yes Username: [email protected] Password: xxxxx
